I think a problem that exists in our society is climate change, and as a teen, I look to people like Greta Thunberg, who protests for climate change on a global scale. She speaks in front of adults that are supposedly in charge and who have a handle on everything, and she tells them that the time to act is now, because we are running out of time.
Something I want to see as a teen leader is eliminate single use plastics from my day to day life, like plastic utensils and plastic bags. Those two plastic products both play a huge role because single-use things are just seen as “more convenient”, but what isn’t seen is there destruction to the environment. I also want to try to get my friends in my school to eliminate single-use plastics from their day to day life.
